The Majors Creek Anzac Day service

saw a large crowd  assembled in the beautiful grounds of St Stephens Church including many children. The service was preceded by a march, led by the precision drill team from the Australian Defence Force Academy, was well attended. A feature of the service was the commemorations to four Crandell boys all born in Majors Creek and  involved in World War 1. The commemorations were  particularly poignant and one was delivered by a great grandson of one of the Crandells. Visitors and relatives of the Crandells attended to mark this special occasion from as far as Sydney and Canberra. Following the service all stayed for coffee, tea and biscuits and a time to chat and reminisce.  A great occasion in the life of the village.
